Hiking


Hiking is fashionable. The mountains around Flachau are just waiting to be climbed. The altitude here is ideal and there are plenty of marked routes for your hiking pleasure.  Pull on your hiking boots, strap on your rucksack and head for the summit. After testing your athletic endurance you can enjoy the mountain panoramic to the full, breathe in the fresh mountain air and tuck into some delicious snacks in a mountain hut. Relaxed hikers can delight in the unspoilt nature and the unique mountain landscape of the Pongau region on the mountain railways. The Sportwelt Wanderbus is another service offered in the region.

 The Tauernhof Top 5 Walking Tours:  

  • Romantic sunrise tour

Depending on the tour, you can stop-off at a mountain hut or be back in time for lunch. 

 

The Tauernhof summer activity programme includes a daily, guided Nordic walking session or a hiking tour.

To help you choose the right tour and the right equipment, information about the different tours is available every evening at the athletes regulars' table. Our sport guides have loads of tips and info on hand. Before every tour, the guide provides information about the tour (flora, fauna, landscape, history), as well as insiders' tips and what you should bring with you.  During the tour your guide will point out special items of interest, panoramic highlights and photo opportunities. The speed of the tour is adapted to the participants. We can organise return transport if necessary.
