„Career with apprenticeship“ – that’s the slogan of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. Apprenticeships in the Austrian tourist industry are very highly valued internationally. So it’s only natural for us at the Tauernhof to do our bit as well.
We are constantly training have 3-6 employees in the following professions: hotel & hospitality industry assistant, chef, and gastronomy professional. At the moment, Christopher and Sonja are undertaking the four-year gastronomy professional apprenticeship, and Verena is training to be a hotel & hospitality industry assistant.
They benefit from practical training in the kitchen, service, and reception departments, while theory is taught in two-month teaching blocks in Obertrum. They also receive training in commodities management, hygiene (HCCP), calculation, and organisation.
Witnessing the development of the individual characters is always the greatest experience for the instructors.
The perfect way they deal with guests, their rhetoric, their cordiality. Thanks to the know-how they learn, our apprentices always develop huge self-confidence, which their manner exudes.
