Floodlight sledding on thursday
After skiing on Thursdays, it’s sledding time
On Thursday evenings from December to March, floodlit sledding is on the programme. The destination is the Winklalm „pleasure cabin“, which is located at 1,300 m in Flachauwinkl, surrounded by imposing mountain scenery, right by the ski slopes.
The cabin can be reached by ski lift until 4.00 p.m. and after then by taxi or foot. The convivial cabin atmosphere, delicious food, and music to fit the occasion are not to be missed. An insider’s tip is to pre-order the ribs, although the hearty regional dishes are also highly recommended.
There is also live music every Thursday, which ensures a lively party atmosphere in the cabin.
A special Winklalm service for all sledders:
You can also borrow sleds directly on site!
Well-fed and in high spirits, it’s then time to head down the well-lit 4 km run to the valley. Some take it at a leisurely place, while others get to their destination more quickly. But once they’ve reached the bottom, everyone knows one thing for sure – they‘ll be there again at the next night-time sledding party!
