Flachau is situated in the centre of the skiing mountains, valleys and ski circuits, in the heart of Salzburger Sportwelt – the Ski amadé. The modern village has a picture-perfect centre, with many pubs, restaurants and bars, farmers shop, bio store,.. is situated in 1,000 m above sea level, 60 kilometres south of the City of Salzburg, and is surrounded by impressive mountains.
Snow Space Salzburg is situated directly at the Tauernhof front door. Thus, the hotel is the perfect starting point for a wonderful winter holiday in Flachau - in Ski amadé. It takes only a 10-minute walk or 3 minutes by ski bus to get to the lifts from where you can start immediately. With around 120 piste kilometres and a difference in altitude of up to 1,000 metres, you will have no time for boredom. On a skiing holiday in Flachau, 24 ski huts invite to sunny breaks and to fantastic après ski in the afternoon.
It takes only three minutes from the hotel to the Flachau Citybus, which runs every 15 minutes free of charge from the hotel to the access point of Star Jet 1 and Achter-Jet (eight-seater lift).
Taking the Amadé-Ski buses, which run every 20 minutes, you get to the Shuttleberg in Flachauwinkl with its Absolut Park and to the challenging pistes of Zauchensee.

What started with the construction of the first chairlift in 1963 has now become one of Europe’s most modern skiing areas. A fact that is also confirmed by many international awards. The Ski amadé network includes the skiing areas: Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig & Großarl.
That's why it's the favourite ski area for unforgettable Winter Holidays!
With just one ski pass, you can use 270 lifts – of which 90 are chairlifts, 47 gondola lifts, 81 T-bar lifts and 52 practicing lifts, ski on 760 piste kilometres and enjoy an excellent infrastructure. Flachau is part of Salzburger Sportwelt and, with sufficiently wide and blue pistes, also offers skiers with little experience a perfect support programme for starting the pleasure of skiing.
